Another Japanese Army equipment. The Car itself is English made. This car was used by at least three countries : United Kingdom, Japan and Argentina.
It is an armored car typical of the thirties, with two machine guns fitted in a rotating turret. Many pictures of the vehicle exist, mostly taken on the streets of invaded China.
The model is produced by Pit Road. It is a very nice model, very very easy to assemble. It has only a few pieces, far from some over engineered we have on the market now and can be a pleasant week-end project.
I added a PE set from the same brand, but it is not absolutely necessary. My choice went to a three color camouflage. Also added Japanese flags (hinomaru). It seems now that the Navy grey was not used on vehicles. A khaki/ dark earth with the top of the turret painted white or a camouflage would be a better choice. Check your information! Many books in Japanese are available and can be a great help! Some have captions in English. I used acrylics and Tamiya pastels. I paint my models with an airbrush.
